Shia LaBeouf
Shia Saide LaBeouf se narodil 11. června 1986 v Los Angeles jako jediné dítě matce, tanečnici a baleríně Shayne a otci, veteránovi z Vietnamu, Jeffreymu Craigovi LaBeoufovi, který si přivydělával jako klaun nebo mimik. Jméno Shia znamená v hebrejštině „dar od Boha“ a příjmení z francouzštiny „Le Boeuf“ znamená „hovězí.“ Malý Shia byl odjakživa veden k židovskému náboženství, koneckonců jeho matka má židovské kořeny. Jeho výkon mu vynesl několik nominací a cenu Emmy za nejlepší dětský výkon.
Dá se říct, že rok 2003 byl pro Shiu revoluční. Zahrál si jak menší roli v pokračování CHARLIEHO ANDÍLKŮ, tak i větší roli v rodinném dramatu DÍRY po boku Sigourney Weaverové či Jona Voighta. Také se vrátil ke své televizní prvotině v celovečerním snímku STEVENSOVI BODUJÍ, ale film měl téměř nulový ohlas. Následující roky však byly vstupenkou do první ligy, a nejen díky hlavní roli v dramatu GOLFOVÝ SEN, ale také díky menším rolím v komerčně úspěšných snímcích JÁ, ROBOT a CONSTANTINE.
Následoval další, neméně úspěšný rok s hlavní rolí v citlivém dramatu A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS o nesnadném dospívání a drama podle skutečných událostí ATENTÁT V AMBASSADORU napěchovaný hvězdami. Po roce 2007 se ovšem nadobro vryl do paměti diváků jako teenager ohrožován sériovým vrahem v thrilleru DISTURBIA, prostý Sam okouzlený Optimus Primem v letním blockbusteru TRANSFORMERS, či jako tučňák Cody, jemuž propůjčil hlas v animovaném filmu DIVOKÉ VLNY.
Z LaBeoufa roste velká herecká osobnost a vědom si toho je především Steven Spielberg, který s ním má do budoucnosti velké plány. Mluví o něm jako o „Hanksovi zamlada“ a momentálně s ním natáčí čtvrtého INDIANA JONESE. Shia se již zavázal smlouvou k pokračování úspěšných TRANSFORMERŮ a měl by se objevit i v dalším thrilleru D.J. Carusa s názvem EAGLE EYE.
